According to a recent study, acute health issues are resolved relatively better by nurses as compared to other healthcare professionals, because nurses are specially trained for this purpose. This research, which proves nurses to be as able as physicians in providing care, was published in the “Journal of Advanced Nursing.

Recently, two talented local students came back from Washington, D.C., along with a good amount of money won. These two students are 18 year old Paulomi Bhattacharya of Harker School, and 17 year old Saratoga Jack Takahashi from Laynbrook High School, both of whom had gone tocompete in the Intel Science Talent Search 2013 finals on 9th and 10th March.

New York had it first school bus strike after 34 years. Called by Mayor Bloomberg, the strike has left disabled children without transport causing their activity to come to a complete standstill. Subways do not offer access to elevators and taxis do not provide adequate storage space for wheelchairs, whereas the school bus service accommodated disabled childrens’ special requirements.
