Education Foundation of the Kennebunks and Arundel Introduces 4 New Board Members

Residents of Kennebunks should really appreciate the efforts of the Education Foundation towards constant improvement in academic excellence in the area. The Education Foundation of the Kennebunks and Arundel recently added four new members to its board; living up to the promise of improving educational standards in grades K-12 in public school systems.

What’s worth mentioning is that the new board members are highly qualified and quite suited to their roles. They’ve got excellent achievements in the academic and education fields.

Among the new members is Kristin Brigham, who serves on the Grant and Fundraising Committees of the foundation. She has served the schooling system extensively, having won the Payson L. Hunter Award from the RSU 21 Board of Directors in 2010-11. She has an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration from SUNY College of Technology.

Next is Jackie Teguis, who specialized in Curriculum Development from the Lesley University. Like Brigham, she also serves on the Grant and Fundraising Committees and has also served as president of the Kennebunk Elementary PTA.

Susan Searle has a specialty in Accounting and serves as Treasurer on the Foundation. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Accounting to her credit, earned from Bentley College and the University of Southern Maine.

David Moravick graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with extensive experience in the banking industry.

As obvious, the new board members come from diverse fields and backgrounds, but have years of experience and degrees from topnotch colleges and universities in the US. For any educational system, the foundation is laid by the leaders and visionaries, and by introducing such qualified members to the board, the Education Foundation is, indeed, on the right track.
